THE “CRUCIFIX” venerated in the church of St. Mary Magdalene, in Rome

We share this study by Fr. Bruno Brazzarola – for many years postulator general of the Order – on the crucifix venerated in the chapel of the same name in our church of St. Mary Magdalene in Rome.

His goal is to analyze the exact words attributed to the crucifix and directed to St. Camillus de Lellis and to know with certainty of information also the events that accompanied those words.

In addition to the examination of the documents related to the alleged vision and allocution of the crucifix to St. Camillus, a special study will be devoted to the problem of identification: whether the crucifix venerated in our church is the crucifix dealt with in the documents, the subject of our examination.
