Father Renato Salvatore is serene but weary, obviously, at having been taken into custody as well. Believing that his behaviour in the matter has been misrepresented, at today’s questioning informing him the Superior General wanted to avail himself of the right not to reply exclusively because he wishes to be heard in the next few days following full knowledge of the records filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and thus to proceed to an analytical reconstruction of the facts which have given rise to these proceedings. He thanks those people at this moment of personal difficulty who are near to him with prayer and the affection they have always had.
