On Wednesday 20 May the General Consulta and the Major Superiors went to Krakow and after paying tribute to the spiritual heritage of Pope John Paul II walked amongst the barracks of Auschwitz which are impregnated with the suffering caused by insensate violence and incomprehensible hatred. This was a moving experience which led to meditation upon the destructive potentiality of man.
In the evening they celebrated the Eucharist in the Camillian parish of Tarnowskie Góry: a solemn welcome, a great deal of devotion, and fraternal celebration.
