We reached the Superior General Fr. Renato Salvatore through his lawyer: Father Salvatore is well and serene.

He is preparing for the hearing – which will take place in the next few days – with the help of his lawyers.

The members of the General Consulta had a meeting with the Prefect and the Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Apostolic Life, His Eminence Cardinal Joao Braz de Aviz and His Excellency Msgr. José Rodriguez Carballo OFM, who demonstrated their nearness to us and assured us of their cooperation. They also exhorted us to be united in prayer, solicitous in fraternal unity and patient while waiting, in the hope that serenity will return to our Order.
