GENERAL POSTULATION

Our history is a long history of love: from Christ to us, through the charism of Camillus, who made a holiness imbued with charity flourish and continues to flourish in the Church and the world.

Who are the saints?  The hidden guides in the history of our Order. The new ways to come to Christ. Those who accompany us to live “the parable of the Good Samaritan” in our daily lives. They are God’s friends, God’s confidants, God’s lovers, because they are continually turned to him, in service to their brothers and sisters, like the sunflower to the sun. They are men inhabited by God.

The word Holiness makes us think of something unattainable and yet it is our primordial vocation. Holiness makes us happy and fulfilled.

We are urged to rediscover our call to holiness and bring out the holiness of our brothers, who have written and still write the history of our Order. We are called to be proud and happy to be accompanied and guarded by these brothers of ours. DOWNLOAD THE PDF HERE

NICOLA D’ONOFRIO

Holy Mass for the 58th anniversary of the ascent to heaven of Nicola D’Onofrio, a Camillian student and religious who died of cancer when he was only 21 and was declared Venerable by Pope Francis.

Father Gianfranco Lunardon, Vicar of the Camillian Order, presided over the celebration.

Interview with Father Walter Vinci, Postulator General of the Order.

There are faces that immediately inspire hope and confidence in the future. There are faces that have a very special light: it is the light of holiness. Nicholas D’Onofrio expresses all this: his smiling eyes, his face filled with the joy of life, make the Venerable Camillian D’Onofrio an example for the youth of today. He instills peace, he instills the Beauty (the one with a capital “b”) of being a Christian. CLICK HERE.

On the occasion of the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, patroness of our Church, CADIS is promoting the Season of Creation 2022 with the theme “Hearing the Cry of the Earth and the Good News of Mary Magdalene.”

The Season of Creation is the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home. We listen and respond to the cry of creation as a Christian community.

The Season of Creation begins on Sept. 1, World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and ends on Oct. 4, feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of ecology.

We begin the Season of Creation by “preparing” to reach out to local leaders and call our communities to actively participate, raising awareness of the issue and how to respond to the cry of creation where the Lord calls us in our different contexts.

The comic strip story of the Camillian Nicola d’Onofrio – From the pencil to the heart”.

From the introduction

“Hi Guys,
the time has finally come to introduce you to a new travelling companion: Nicola D’Onofrio, known to his friends as Nicolino. I do not simply wish to tell you the story of this young man, but to make you live his short, beautiful and intense life experience.
Nicolino is a very young example of Christian life, who has made his smile the ‘highway’ to heaven, that is to holiness, through consecration to the Lord
according to the lifestyle of a great Giant of Charity: St Camillus De Lellis.

Father Luciano Sandrin – Lo sguardo del perdono published by Editoriale Romani

Forgiving and feeling forgiven changes our lives. It is healthy. It makes us feel good. How not forgiving and not being forgiven can complicate it for us. Forgiveness is liberating, non-forgiveness imprisons us in the past and blocks resources that we could spend more fruitfully in the future. We all need to forgive and be forgiven at times. The path of forgiveness and reconciliation is a path of healing wounds, memories, emotions and relationships. Psychology can be useful to understand the complexities of forgiveness and reconciliation, to help resolve conflicts and prevent unpleasant situations. But forgiveness and reconciliation also have to do with reference values, with our spirituality and religious beliefs, with our theology.

Arnaldo Pangrazzi – The alphabet of the heart. Kaleidoscope of emotions and feelings

This text is a journey through the maps of the heart to decipher its seasons and paths. The ecology of health calls for the art of learning to understand and govern emotional energies so that they enrich and do not deteriorate life and health. “Every emotion that surfaces within us has a right to citizenship and its presence can contribute to a better understanding of ourselves, others, God and the great mystery of everything. The identification and acceptance of a feeling tends to dilute it, alleviate its weight and bring it under cognitive control’.

Father Luciano Sandrin – Caring for the person in the healing community

Pastoral action is the action of the ecclesial community. A path in which the calls look from different perspectives, which intertwine and ‘con-centrate’ on the sick person: affective and professional gazes of the various people who assist and care for him. The book – which takes up the lessons of the online course on The Care of the Person in the Healing Community organised by the CEI’s UNPS – proposes useful reflections for those who work in the ‘specific but broad’ field of the health care ministry, but also for the various subjects of the Church’s pastoral care, so that action is not declined almost only as ‘doing’, but preferably as ‘inter-acting’, thus paying attention to the health of the relationship.
