Father Laurent Zoungrana, the superior of Studentato Camilliano in Rome, is the new vicar general of the Order.

He was elected this morning during the Extraordinary General Chapter of the Order in Ariccia during the first votation with overwhelming majority.

Born on March 11, 1956 in Burkina Faso. Father Laurent made his first profession of vows in 1980,  perpetual profession in 1983, and was ordained priest in 1985.

Meanwhile, last night, the Capitulars celebrated the election of the new Superior General Father Leocir Pessini serenading him with songs from the various Provinces of the Order present at the Chapter. It was a moment of fraternity and joy which can be seen in the photo gallery here.
