During the morning session of today, the extraordinary General chapter of the Camillians has elected the third consultor of the Order, Father Aris Miranda.

Father Miranda was born on September 3, 1967 and belongs to the Philippine province.  He made his first profession of vows in 1989, perpetual profession in 1994, and was ordained priest in the same year.

Always attentive to humanitarian issues, he is the coordinator of the Camillian Task Force Central, an international humanitarian organization of the Order of the Ministers of the Infirm.

In these past months, he was present at the forefront in his birthplace when it was hit by a strongest typhoon Haiyan and an earthquake which left his family without a house.

He assumed also a role as formator in the Philippine province.

Also Fr. Aris Miranda was elected during the first balloting with an overwheming majority.
