The General Consulta, the Major Superiors and the Delegates of the Order of the Ministers of the Sick will meet on 12-15 January. The reason for this meeting, which will involve the representatives of the Camillians from all over the world, is to reflect on the recent events concerning the Superior General, Father Renato Salvatore, and to take – united and with courage – the consequent operational decisions.

Cardinal João Braz de Aviz and Monsignor Josè Rodriguez Carballo, respectively the Prefect and the Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, will take part in the deliberations of this meeting.

Camillian religious and the great family of St. Camillus, which is present in forty countries in the world, are living this moment in suffering and in prayer, but also in the certainty that the Order will remain compact in the face of these difficulties, wanting the truth to come quickly to light and ready to take up again with new enthusiasm the pathway indicated by St. Camillus, and embodied down the centuries in so many luminous figures.
