On Sunday 23 June the photography exhibition ‘Presences’ came to an end.
Located for a whole month at the Vittoriano of Rome, the collection of photographs organised by the Argentinian photo-reporter Guillermo Luna showed to visitors the work of the Camillians in the world from an innovative point of view.
Mixing shots from the historical archives of the Order of the Sick and the photographic testimonies of Luna on Camillians mission, this exhibition was a fascinating journey down the history of the Order founded by St. Camillus.
To crown this journey by pictures was the famous painting of Pierre Subleyras of 1746 which portrays St. Camillus carrying patients at the Hospital of the Holy Spirit to safety during the flooding of the Tiber on the night of Christmas 1598.
This collection of photographs, after leaving its prestigious Roman location, is now available for those who want to exhibit it. They should make a request to the secretary of the Fourth Centenary of the death of St. Camillus.
