We come from the 10 countries (India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, USA) to participate in the 3rd CTF Leaders’ Conference in order to help build the future of the Order through its humanitarian mission. With passion and active participation, we have worked to create the conditions for a strategy that will accompany and guide the priorities of the CTF in the next 6 years (2014-2020) with the help of scientific tools for a week. Together, we created the vision, mission, core values and resources and most of all the internal process that will guide the global network of the CTF. We welcomed the challenge, with passion and joy, of Father Leocir Pessini in his message to the CTF leaders, in saying that, the CTF has to be the prophetic stance of our ministry. He further said: “We always need to believe in the Divine Providence when we think of the future, but God gave us inteligence to plan our future in an inteligent and wise way. The future then is not a question of bad or good luck. We have to be protagonists and actively participating in building our future with the help of the Divine Providence.”
Nowadays, it no longer suffices that one has heart and hands that serve. One must have the courageous HEART of a missionary that feels the suffering of vulnerable peoples and prophetically confronts unjust situations. He must have the HEAD or mind of a social scientist that thinks through and understands their solutions. And he must have the skillful HANDS of a servant-leader that kneels down to serve. We believe that the fullness of life is the vision of Jesus and our’s too as a Catholic organization. It is experiencing the super abundant grace of God which is translated into health to the sick, food to the hungry, joy to the sorrowful, and blessings (or hope) in times of crisis.
We would like to be grounded in the love and mercy of Jesus, with St Camillus in our hearts to promote and inspire the development of a community-based integral health programs for the well-being of the disaster stricken communities through a compassionate, competent, and coordinated interventions. We are committed to work hard in the next 6 years to find (and mobilize) new resources (human and material) and to enhance our capacities in view developing shared projects with communities of the victims of disasters. We believe that it is necessary to broaden the process of involvement and participation towards a CTF that is more International capable of promoting a system of mutual help. We believe that we must work to promote the “Fullness of Life in a Resilient Community.” We believe that we should innovate the Camillian ministry in order to serve the poorest of the poor and the sick.
Let us move onwards with faith, hope and joy. If we are together, then, we can be strong.
