8 December: Lives Given to the Lord and to the Sick

Through the perpetual professions of various brothers and sisters this month we have experienced great grace and deep joy. Let us thank the Lord that new young people have staked their lives on service to the sick in the spirituality of that giant of Charity, St. Camillus de Lellis. Best wishes to Sr. Lorenzina of the Women Ministers of the Sick of St. Camillus who professed on 16 November 2013 in Rome.

VINCENZO GIORGIOOn 8 December in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Rome, eight young men consecrated themselves to the Lord: Bon Llamado Arimbuyutan, Mahugnon Romuald E. Hounkpe Sagbo, Charles Gbetognon Ahouandjinou, Désiré Oubda, Raoul Sankara, Jean Oliver Yaurvilica Torpoco, from the Philippines, Benin-Togo, Burkina Faso and Peru, and 50figlieUmberto D’Angelo and Germano Santone from Bucchianicho. Present were about sixty brothers, Sisters Daughters of St. Camillus and Women Ministers of the Sick who animated the celebration, as well as relatives and friends form Bucchianico. Other professions took place throughout the world.

At the end of the event all the religious renewed their vows.

professioneDuring the fourth centenary of St. Camillus this was certainly one of the happiest events for all those devoted to St. Camillus who himself called for a hundred arms to help the sick and is certainly smiling down from heaven.

After the celebration all the brothers went to Piazza de Spagna for the usual floral tribute of the Holy Father to the Immaculate Conception. At the feet of Our Lady they entrusted OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAto Mary the newly professed and the whole of the Camillian Order.
