The Camillian Delegation of Indonesia celebrated the 27th World Day of the Sick with two significant celebrations:
The first, on Sunday Feb10, 2019, in the public hospital of the city of Maumere where the Camillians are rendering pastoral care services. During the celebration the Camillian seminarians, novices, scholastics together with chaplains shared the joy and good news of love and compassion to people gathered in the chapel of the hospital, dedicated to St. Camillus. More than 200 sick received the sacrament of the anointing in the chapel and in the different pavilions of the hospital.
The second, instead, on Friday February 15, 2019, in the Cathedral with the presence of the Bishop Edwaldus Martinus Sedu, who presided the concelebrated Holy Mass. It was the first time that such celebration for the sick was held in the cathedral. The choir of the Camillian seminarians animated with inspiring songs the liturgy especially during the administration of the sacrament of the sick which was received by more than 300 sick people. It was also nice to see the participation of many religious congregations, especially sisters, who congratulated the Camillians for the well organized celebration and for being inspired in knowing more about the charism of St. Camillus and his deep love for the sick and the poor.
